2012 Mercedes C63 White Edition by Kicherer

The Mercedes C63 AMG is a hot commodity amongst tuners, so whatever type of upgrade customers are looking for in their C63 AMG, there is probably already a tuning kit readily available for them. The C63 AMG Eliminator by Wimmer RS combines an extravagant exterior look with amazing speed, while the C63 AMG V63 Supercharged by Vath drops the vibrant exterior look and just sticks to speed. Now, German tuner, Kicherer, is keeping the more standard look and taming down the breakneck speed. Their new special White Edition will be limited to only 10 units and, according to the tuner, was developed "exclusively for the sporting driver."

This package doesn’t deliver anywhere near the 680 HP of the Vath model, but it does get enough of an upgrade to please customers that are looking for a more moderate increase. The tuner provided some software optimization to the 6.2L V8 engine and removed the top speed limiter so the Mercedes could now deliver 520 HP and 457 lb-ft of torque, up from 457 HP. In order to handle the extra 63 HP, the vehicle was equipped with a high-performance limited slip differential with variable slip and high-performance coilovers which are individually adjustable.

The BlueGreen paint job provided by the Wimmer RS package is undoubtedly way too extreme for many, so the calmer white and black exterior of Kicherer’s kit may be much more desirable. The kit starts off with a new apron with integrated flaps and LED daytime running lights, a carbon front grill with piano lacquer finish, a new set of side skirts, a rear diffuser, and two giant, stainless steel exhaust tailpipes with a flap-controlled sports exhaust. The C63 AMG now sits on a new set of 20" large RS 1 forged wheels combined with a high-performance braking system from Brembo. For the interior, Kicherer is offering exclusive balck and white Napa leather for the front and back seats. There is also an ergonomically-molded sports steering wheel covered in leather.

There’s a tuning kit for the Mercedes C63 AMG in just about any flavor one can think of. This kit by Kicherer seems to be a happy medium.

Just like every other model in Mercedes’ line-up, the SLS AMG will also receive a Black Series version. The Coupe version is already set for release in 2014 and new rumors are suggesting that the Roadster version will be arriving a year later. This debut setup should come as no surprise considering Mercedes just dropped the SLS AMG Roadster at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show.

Just like the coupe model, the Black Series SLS AMG Roadster will be powered by a revised, naturally aspirated 6.2 liter V8 engine that will deliver an extra 50 HP over the car’s standard 570 HP, meaning a power boost to at least 620 HP. Next to this, the SLS AMG Roadster will get a more aggressive exterior package that will include a V-shaped bonnet, a more powerful front apron, larger air intakes, an AMG rear apron with black diffuser insert, and dual twin chrome tailpipes.

In the wide world of automotive tuning, there’s something to be said for UK tuner Merdad and its penchant for producing new body kits for a number of Porsche vehicles, the most recent of which was a program for the Porsche Cayenne. Now the tuning firm is at it again with a new program for the Porsche 997 Turbo S. Called the 997 650-R SS, the modification program comes with a full Merdad Body styling kit that includes a new bonnet, a new front spoiler, front skirt with air intakes, new side skirts with twin air intakes, wider wheel arches, a new rear bumper, and a set of new 20" alloy forged lightweight wheels that was created exclusively for Merdad.

Merdad-exclusive items have also been added to the 997, including a new super sound exhaust, carbon fiber 2-door guards, and a complete set of Merdad logos and badges.

Performance modifications haven’t been announced yet. That being said, we’d love to see what they have done with the Porsche 911 Turbo’s supercharged flat six boxer engine because, well, we’d expect them to get a lot more than the standard 530hp and 516 lb/ft of torque. If the title says anything about the output - which we hope it does - maybe we are looking at 650hp Turbo?

The whole list of modifications will £19,995, which is around $31,500 based on current exchange rates.

2011 BMW X6 by Senner Tuning

Most of the packages from Senner Tuning have focused on vehicles such as the Nissan 370Z and the Audi A5, but now the tuner has diverted their attention to a larger car: the BMW X6. Their tuning package has it all, with exterior and interior upgrades, as well as a 30 HP power increase.

The exterior modifications err toward the side of the M6, with a new front bumper, large air intakes in a honeycomb design, a new tailgate, and a modified exhaust system. The standard wheels were whisked away and replaced with a new set of 22" wheels, leading towards the bottom part of the X6 where the tuner added a Bilstein B8 shocks system and springs with 25/20 mm lowering feature. The interior was only perked up with a new pedal set and a new DVD system to entertain any and all guests of the crossover.

The boost in power provided for the X6 takes the standard 3.0L turbodiesel engine of the xDrive40d and gives it an ECU remap and a new sports air filter. These changes take the standard 306 HP and brings it up to 336 HP. It’s nothing to write home about, but at least it gets the job done.

Ferrari is saying goodbye to one of their amazing vehicles with one last special edition, and no, we’re not talking about the 2012 Ferrari 599XX Evolution. Fresh off of the announcement of the Evolution is another special edition, this time specifically for the 599 GTB. The new Ferrari 599 GTB HGTE 60F1 was built to celebrate the 60 years since Froilan Gonzalez and the 375 F1 gave the Scuderia its very first victory ever in the Formula World Championship in the British Grand Prix at Silverstone. It is based on the powerful HGTE version and was created as part of the exclusive Tailor Made Programme.

The 599 GTB HGTE 60F1 will combine colors and materials inspired by the vehicles driven by Froilan Gonzalez on July 14, 1951 and Fernando Alonso on July 10, 2011. Customers will get to choose between three different liveries, but they will also be able to opt for a reduced body roll for a stiffer ride, sharper cornering, improved road-holding combined with superbly easy control, and an interior inspired by the two legendary vehicles.

Exterior The new Ferrari 599 GTB HGTE 60F1 will be produced in three different liveries for customers to choose from. The first is the 375 F1 Livery that uses the same red finish as Froilan Gonzalez’s 375 F1, combined with darker pastel tones. There is also a Ferrari 150° Italia Livery that combines the red livery used for Fernando Alonso’s Ferrari 150° Italia, with white on the lower part of the front bumpers, mudguards, bonnet, A-posts, and buttresses. There is also a tricolor on the spoiler. The last option is a Ferrari 150° Italia 2 Livery that brings back the red finish from Fernando Alonso’s ride, but only flashes white on the lower part of the bumpers. This livery also deletes the tricolor at the rear. Regardless of the livery, the Ferrari 599 GTB HGTE 60F1 can be had with 20" diamond-finish forged wheel rims. Interior The interior for the new 599 GTB HGTE 60F1 was also inspired by the two legendary race cars. Europe models will get Sabelt seats, while the US will rock Recaro seating. Both versions will use an innovative technical material known as Superfabric that is usually used on Formula 1 cars. The seats are upholstered in black Alcantara and are combined with four-point safety harnesses offered in a combination of Red and Blue specified by FIA for the 2010-2011 Formula 1 Championship. The rest of the interior will be highlighted by aluminum elements and Alutex trim on the dashboard. Both the Europe and US models will also feature the signatures of the two drivers, Froilan Gonzalez and Fernando Alonso, on the dashboard. Engine The only changes made for the special 599 GTB HGTE 60F1 were strictly exterior and interior, so engine specifications will still be standard. That means the special edition Ferrari will be powered by a 6.0 liter V12 engine producing 612 HP at 8500 rpm that sprints the car from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds. Prices The prices for the special edition Ferrari 599 GTB HGTE 60F1 haven’t been announced just yet, but we can only imagine that it will be way out of our budget. Competition Since the only modifications done on the 599 GTB were aesthetic, the list of competitors for the standard model will hold true for this model as well. This list includes the Aston Martin V12 Vantage and the Audi R8 V10 GT, both of which are still less powerful than the 599. The Aston Martin model is powered by a 6.0-liter V12 producing 510 HP and the R8 is powered by a 5.2 FSI V10 that delivers 560 HP. The Maserati GranTurismo S Limited Edition isn’t the only exclusive Maserati that has come out this week. Joining the sports car in the fold is this luxurious Maserati GranCabrio Sport Poltrona Frau.

We understand your curiosity about the Poltrona Frau name because we’ve never heard of it either until now. Turns out, Poltrona Frau is an Italian interior and furniture design and leather upholstery company that has had a partnership with Maserati since 2001. To celebrate the 10th year anniversary of the two companies’ partnership, Poltrona Frau customized the GranCabrio Sport’s interior with a special leather treatment that touches on soft, luxurious comfort. As if the GranCabrio Sport needed any more luxurious touch-ups.

On top of the finely-dressed interior, the GranCabrio Sport also has a minor performance improvement from the standard version, courtesy of a faster and more fuel efficient MC Auto Shift transmission. As a result, the GranCabrio Sport’s 4.7-liter V8 engine now produces 450 horsepower, an increase of 10 ponies from the standard model. The result is 0-62 mph acceleration time of 5.2 seconds with a top speed of 177 mph.

2012 Lotus Evora GTE by Swizz Beatz

The evolution of the Lotus Evora GTE, most extreme Lotus vehicle ever, went by rather quickly. After debuting a concept version at the 2011 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in August, Lotus then went on to put out the production Evora GTE in September at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. This quick turnover has now been followed up by a special edition GTE courtesy of Swizz Beatz.

Swizz Beatz is an American record producer, DJ, rapper, and painter, although some may only know him as the husband of R&B superstar, Alicia Keys. He, along with

Lotus Design, came together to create a special Evora GTE unveiled at Alvin Ailey’s Opening Night Gala in New York. This special edition is noted as such because it is finished in a chrome ruby red paint. Everything else is strictly standard GTE. It features the typical rear brake cooling ducts, modified rear wing, enlarged intake vents behind the B pillar, and intense use of carbon fiber for the roof, sill detailing, and other carbon accessories. These elements help reduce the Evora’s total weight by about 231 lbs.

Being since this was a creative collaboration, no changes were made to the power source of the Evora GTE. It is still working with a race-tuned 3.5-liter V6 engine that delivers a total of 444 HP, which still makes it the most powerful Lotus Evora road car ever built.

No details were given on the car’s prices just yet, but prospective buyers will surely have to dish out more than the $180,000 price tag of the standard Evora GTE.
